Musicals For Kids is a resource providing high quality musical plays for Primary Schools.

At Musicals For Kids we have a range of musicals that are:

• Easy for any school to produce without being a drain on time or resources
• Enjoyable for both the adults and kids who come to see them performed
• Most importantly tremendous amounts of fun for the children to be involved in putting them on.

Our shows are affordable, easily adaptable to any Primary School situation and offer enormous opportunity for participation. At the end of the day we want to provide the opportunity to involve as many children as possible in our shows and we want them all to feel they have been an integral part of something very special.

Musicals For Kids shows have been written specifically for Primary Schools. As well as a large number of main roles, each show features a song and at least 5 speaking roles for each year level. There simply is nothing else like this available.

A whole school musical can be a daunting undertaking, but Musicals For Kids aims to make things as easy as possible. Our shows are easy to produce, regardless of the level of music within the school.

About the Authors

ROSS MCQUEEN

Ross is an award winning Melbourne filmmaker with over 12 years experience writing scripts for stage and screen. He has a Bachelor of Media Arts and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing. Ross's wife is head of primary music at Sacré Coeur Junior School.

REBECCA HICKS

Rebecca has a Licentiate in Music (LMusA) from the AMEB, a Bachelor of Music Performance (Piano) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne. Rebecca recently vacated the positions of Head of Piano at Parade College and Choral Director at Carey Grammar Junior School Kew to pursue Conducting and Repetiteur work in Germany.

TERRY RYAN

Terry Has played and composed music for many years, and has had lifelong interest in theatre. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Music from Box Hill TAFE and a Masters Degree in Multimedia from Swinburne University. He is currently employed by the Victorian College of the Arts.
